Sports Volunteering Cape Town
About Sports Volunteering Cape Town Project
WTSA Volunteering offers those who have a passion and keen interest in sport the opportunity to make a difference coaching sport to children in less advantaged communities.
Volunteers will be able to coach children sports, play interactive games and most importantly help give the children hope for their future and the unlimited possibilities ahead of them. This promotes a healthy and disciplined lifestyle and steers youngsters clear of harmful activities such as involvement in gangs, drugs and alcohol abuse. WTSA Volunteering work closely with schools in South Africa’s less advantaged areas helping change lives through sport.
Volunteer accommodation is in shared apartments in the Greater Cape Town area of Somerset West, Gordon's Bay & Strand.
What will you do?
Volunteers work under the supervision of the local staff. The Projects' needs vary on a regular basis. Volunteers are therefore required to be flexible in the activities in which they will participate. Volunteers need to be enthusiastic and have initiative to teach and be able to lead a sports session with children.
