What was your personal highlight of the day/week?

My personal highlight of the week was definitely the lion kill. It was spectactular to see the lions eating and to watch the way they behave in a group. Another highlight was that we saw a spotted hyena. The fact that I saw all of that in my first week is amazing. In general it has been great to see all those animals and since the weather is much better than in my home country, the first week has been very interesting and a great adventure for me.

What interesting fact did you learn today/this week?

What I found very interesting was, when we were taught how we are supposed to behave when we get attacked by a lion for example. But all in all it was very interesting to learn more about flora and fauna of a country that I have never been to before.

What was your favourite species that you saw today/this week?

I like the lion and the leopard very much. Since I have only seen the lions yet, this would definitely be my favourite species that I saw this week. I like their powerful and strong look.

Are you enjoying your camp accommodation?

Yes, I do. I like everybody in this group and I think I have integrated myself in this group pretty well.

How does South Africa differ from your home country?

South Africa is completely different to my home country. The animals are bigger and the nature in general is simply more fascinating. Since I haven't experienced a lot of the South African culture yet, I can't really talk about that topic now, but in general South Africans seem to be very nice and helpful to me.
