Journal Entry: Sabrina Möllers - Deutschland - 2012-07-30

What was your personal highlight of the day/week?

I think everything in Sodwana Bay is a highlight. One day you see the sunrise at the beach and on the other day you have a nice braai at Lake Sibaya with your friends. No matter what you do, you have an amazing landscape around you!

What interesting fact did you learn today/this week?

Diving in South Africa is the best thing that ever happened to me. Every day you get to know new important things. For example, to never hold your breath while diving or learning about how colours change underwater.

What was your favourite species that you saw today/this week?

My favourite species I saw was a black tip reef shark that visited us while we did our navigation skills underwater.

How does South Africa differ from your home country?

South Africa, especially Sodwana Bay, is a place on earth where I feel totally satisfied just by being here. Here I need no luxury or person to be completely happy and I have even decided to stay in the country for longer when my project ends, to do more diving - my rescue diver and hopefully my divemaster course - and spend more time in this beautiful place!

Are you enjoying your camp accommodation?

My camp accommodation is perfect! :) Of course it is not European luxury standard but we have free Internet, warm water, electricity, a comfortable lounge with a flat screen tv, swimming pool and many cute dogs ;)
